   WASHINGTON - Key U.S. officials hedged Sunday in detailing President
   Donald Trump's claim that Iranian Quds Force commander Qassem Soleimani
   intended to blow up four U.S. embassies before Trump ordered a drone
   strike to kill him.

   Defense Secretary Mark Espertold CBS News' "Face the Nation" show, "I
   didn't see the intelligence about Iran posing an imminent threat to
   four U.S. embassies, but I believe President Trump when he says there
   was one."

   The Pentagon chief added, "What I'm saying is I share the president's
   view that probably- my expectation was they were going to go after our
   embassies."
