Arab States Pledge Palestinian Support, Take No Action Against Trump Peace
Plan

   CAIRO - Arab foreign ministerspledgedsupport Saturday for the
   Palestinian cause at an extraordinary summit in Cairo, criticizing the
   Trumpadministration's peaceplan buttaking no concrete action to oppose
   it.

   Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas condemned the plan,
   though, saying he was "cutting security relations with both the U.S.
   and Israel."

   Theforeign ministers applauded Abbas' fiery speech denouncing the
   Trumpadministration's "Deal of the Century" peace plan, which he vowed
   "never to accept."He also said he would notaccept that Jerusalem is the
   capital of Israel.Jerusalem, he insisted, "is our capital."

   Abbas read offothergrievances against the peace plan, saying itwould
   givethe Palestinians "a piece of Swiss cheese," with "no sovereignty
   over either land, sea or air," and "just 22% of historic
   [British-mandated] Palestine," including several Arab towns now inside
   Israel.
