Biden: Trump 'Walked Away' from COVID Crisis

   Democraticpresidential nominee JoeBidensays he isn't
   blamingPresidentDonaldTrumpfor thecoronavirusoutbreak,buthedoes blame
   himfor"walking away" from the crisis.

   "The idea of saying that this is going to go away, that some miracle is
   going to happenis unrealistic," Biden said, adding that Trump has
   repeatedly promoted "crazy" treatmentsand "hasn't listened to the
   scientists."

   Biden andhisvicepresidentialrunning mate,California SenatorKamala
   Harris,spoke to ABCNewstelevisioninan interviewbroadcast Sunday night.
   It was their first joint interviewsince teaming up for theDemocratic
   ticket.

   The interview was conducted last Friday, the day after the conclusion
   of the Democratic National Convention.

   On Sunday evening, Trump announced he had helpedtoend a regulatory
   logjamandpromptedthe federalFood and Drug Administrationto
   grantemergency authorization ofso-calledconvalescent plasmato
   treatCOVID-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus. Trumpcalled it a
   "powerful therapy" with "an incredible rate of success, although
   government scientists said the treatment needsfurther study.
