Australia Reports New Single-Day Coronavirus Death Toll

   Australia is reporting a new single-day record 21 COVID-19 deaths
   Wednesday, along with 428 new infections.

   The fatalities occurred in the southern state of Victoria, which has
   been battling a dramatic surge of new infections since late June that
   prompted authorities to impose strict lockdowns to control the spread
   of the virus.
