Musk: Aliens Built Pyramids, Egypt: He's Hallucinating

   Egypt's minister of international cooperation has extended an
   invitation to SpaceX CEO Elon Musk after a Musk poston Twitter that the
   pyramids were built byextraterrestrial beings.

   Musk tweeted Saturday: "Aliens built the pyramidsobv."

   Musk's posting prompted Rania AlMashat, the international cooperation
   minister, totweet: "I follow your work with a lot of admiration. I
   invite you &Space X to explore the writings about how the pyramids were

   we are waiting for you."

   It was not immediately clear whether Musk's tweet was serious or
   tongue-in-cheek. However, extraterrestrial entitiesas builders
   ofEgypt's ancient pyramids isthepremise forseveraltelevisionshowsand
   books.

   Egypt Today reports on its website that
   famedEgyptianarchaeologistZahiHawassalsoweighedinon the topicon social
   media, sayingthat Musk'stweetwasa "complete hallucination."Hawassadded
   that he had "found the tombs of the pyramids builders thattell everyone
   that the builders of the pyramids are Egyptians and they were not
   slaves." He saidancient Egypt'spyramid buildingwas "a national project
   of the whole nation."

   Muskhad an apparent change of mind andeventuallyprovided a link on his
   Twitter account about thebuildingof pyramids.Hetweeted:"This BBC
