Syrian Opposition to Meet UN Officials in New York

   WASHINGTON - A delegation of Syria's opposition has arrived in New York
   to hold talks with United Nations and world leaders about the Syrian
   crisis, a Syrian opposition official said Sunday.

   Talks will largely focus on a constitutional committee the U.N. has
   been working on for nearly two years to help end the country's
   eight-year civil war, Ibrahim Biro, member of the Syrian opposition's
   High Negotiations Committee, told VOA.

   "We will discuss with [U.N. officials] ways to move forward after the
   formation of the U.N.-sponsored constitutional committee from our
   viewpoint. We have shown willingness to," he said.
