Phone Call That Started Impeachment Inquiry

   The [1]whistleblower complaint at the heart of House Democrats
   impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump focuses on a July phone
   call he had with Ukraine's president. What is the controversy about?
   The July 25 phone call

   When Trump spoke with Volodymyr Zelenskiy, the Ukraine's newly elected
   president was eagerly awaiting some $400 million in U.S. aid approved
   by Congress.During the call, Trump asked the president to investigate
   corruption involving former Vice President Joe Biden's son, Hunter, who
   was working for a Ukrainian energy company that was once under
   investigation by Ukrainian prosecutors.

   "There's a lot of talk about [Joe] Biden's son, that Biden stopped the
   prosecution and a lot of people want to find out about that so whatever
   you can do with the [Attorney General] would be great," Trump said,
   according to a call memo released by the White House.
