Sudan's Opposition and Military to Resume Talks

   KHARTOUM - The talks between Sudan's protest leaders and the
   Transitional Military Council are expected to resume this week,
   following concessions on both sides.

   Protest groups have suspended a nationwide strike called after security
   forces last week violently broke up a protest camp, killing dozens.

   The TMC, meanwhile, agreed to release political prisoners as a
   confidence-building gesture.

   The top U.S. diplomat in Africa, Tibor Nagy, who arrived in Khartoum on
   Wednesday, has already met with opposition leaders.
