Hong Kong Student Leader Joshua Wong Talks to VOA about Ongoing Protests

   Since June, hundreds of thousands of protesters have marched through
   the streets of Hong Kong in defiance of an extradition bill, now
   suspended, that allowed for sending criminal suspects to mainland China
   for trial.

   Student activist and politician Joshua Wong,secretary-general ofHong
   Kong'spro-democracy DemosistÅParty who was jailed for his role in the
   2014 pro-democracy Umbrella Movement in Hong Kong,spoke by phone Aug.
   17 with VOA reporter Si Yang about apossible crackdown onthe
