What We Know About Suspicious Packages Intercepted by Authorities by VOA News Here's what is known about the "possible explosive devices" intercepted Tuesday and Wednesday by the U.S. authorities: * Suspicious packages addressed to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and former President Barack Obama were intercepted. * A similar suspicious device was found Monday in a mailbox outside the home of philanthropist George Soros, a key Democratic donor. * The Time Warner Center in New York, where news network CNN has studios, was evacuated Wednesday after an explosive device was found. * The device in New York was safely removed. Officials say a white powder was found in the packaging. * Suspicious packages also were sent to the New York governor's office and the Florida building that houses the office of Democratic Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz. The White House has condemned the "attempted violent attacks" and says President Donald Trump is closely monitoring the situation. The FBI is working in coordination with law enforcement partners to investigate the suspicious packages.
