                 Suspicious Package Forces White House Lockdown

   The White House was placed on a partial lockdown to investigate a
   suspicious package, officials from the Secret Service said.

   Reports say a woman threw something over the north fence of the White
   House on Monday.

   Emergency responders, including a hazardous materials response unit,
   were called to investigate.

   The lockdown occurred just hours after President Barack Obama returned
   from delivering a Memorial Day speech at Arlington National Cemetery.
