Would-be IS Fighter Arrested in Indiana by VOA News An Indiana man was arrested Tuesday for attempting to provide material support to Islamic State. Akram Musleh, 18, was arrested by FBI agents when he attempted to board a bus from his hometown of Brownsburg to New York City. From New York he had planned to fly to Morocco and find his way to Islamic State-controlled territory. Musleh allegedly planned to join the terrorist group. If convicted, he could face a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison and a lifetime of supervised release, in addition to a fine of $250,000. Announcing the arrest, U.S. Attorney Josh Minkler of the Southern District of Indiana said "The radicalization of American citizens by terrorist organizations like ISIL is a threat to our safety here and abroad." __________________________________________________________________ [1]http://www.voanews.com/content/would-be-is-fighter-arrested-in-india na/3386688.html References 1. http://www.voanews.com/content/would-be-is-fighter-arrested-in-indiana/3386688.html
