                   Nicaragua Hit By 6.1-magnitude Earthquake

   A 6.1-magnitude earthquake hit western Nicaragua late Thursday.

   There were no immediate reports of casualties from the quake.

   Nicaragua said a church near the epicenter was damaged.

   The epicenter of the quake was 17 kilometers east of the Puerto
   Morazan.
