Hollande: France Will Not Back Down From Fighting Terrorism by Fern Robinson French President Francois Hollande says France is not backing down from its fight against terrorism despite the release of an Islamic State video threatening countries of the U.S.-led coalition against the terrorist group. The video is reported to show jihadists involved in the deadly attacks in Paris in November. Hollande, who is on the second day of a three-day visit to India, said Monday in New Delhi, "Nothing will deter us, no threat will make France waver in the fight against terrorism." Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said he invited the French leader to India to show their solidarity as both countries have recently suffered terrorist attacks. ''The two leaders are expected to finalize a multi-billion-dollar deal for India to buy 36 French Rafale fighter jets during Hollande's visit. The French president will be the guest of honor Tuesday at India's Republic Day celebrations. Hollande arrived in the northern Indian city of Chandigarh Sunday. Chandigarh was designed in the 1950s by Swiss-French architect Le Corbusier. Hollande is traveling with a large delegation of government officials and corporate leaders. __________________________________________________________________ [1]http://www.voanews.com/content/hollande-france-will-not-back-down-fr om-fighting-terrorism/3161312.html References 1. http://www.voanews.com/content/hollande-france-will-not-back-down-from-fighting-terrorism/3161312.html
