Gunmen Attack Hotel in Mali Capital by VOA News Gunmen have attacked a hotel in Mali's capital. A security source told the French news agency that the gunmen are on the seventh floor of the Radisson Hotel in Bamako. "Jihadists are firing in the corridor," the source said. It was not immediately clear if any hostages had been taken or if anyone was killed or wounded in the melee Friday. The attack underscores the threat posed by Islamist militants who remain active in northern and central Mali despite the presence of U.N. peacekeepers. A French-led military force ousted Islamist groups from power in northern Mali in 2013. The groups had seized power in the north after a military coup in Bamako in 2012. __________________________________________________________________ [1]http://www.voanews.com/content/gunmen-attack-hotel-mali-capital/3066 350.html References 1. http://www.voanews.com/content/gunmen-attack-hotel-mali-capital/3066350.html
