               2 Killed in Palestinian Stabbing Attack in Israel

   Two people were killed and two others wounded in a stabbing attack in
   the Israeli city of Tel Aviv, the latest Palestinian attack that has
   occurred during weeks of unrest, according to Israeli authorities.

   Reports say bystanders detained the suspect after Thursday's attack and
   handed him over to police.

   Security forces are searching for another person who apparently
   assisted the attacker, according to Israeli state radio.

   A wave of violence has left at least 14 Israelis dead following knife
   and other attacks by Palestinians over the past month-and-a-half.  Some
   80 Palestinians, most of them assailants according to police, have been
   killed by security forces at scenes of assaults and in violent protests
   in the West Bank and Gaza.

   A Jerusalem holy site known to Muslims as the Al-Aqsa Mosque and to
   Jews as the Temple Mount has been at the heart of the violence.  An
   Islamic group in Israel has been behind a campaign alleging that Israel
   is trying to take over the site.  Israeli officials have accused the
   group of inciting violence.
