          Islamic State Takes Credit for Shooting Priest in Bangladesh

   Islamic State on Thursday claimed responsibility for shooting and
   seriously wounding an Italian priest working in Bangladesh as a doctor,
   the latest of several attacks on foreigners in the country.

   The militant group said it targeted Piero Parolari, with three
   assailants on a motorcycle firing shots at him Wednesday as he rode his
   bicycle to church in Dinajpur. The 57-year-old priest was hit in the
   neck by a bullet.

   Bangladesh police said they had no proof of who was responsible for the
   attack.

   Islamic State has taken credit for a series of attacks in the South
   Asian country this year, including the killing of an Italian aid worker
   and a Japanese farmer.
