             White House: No Plans to Send US Ground Troops to Iraq

   Despite the Islamic State militant group's taking this week of Iraqi
   city Ramadi and Syria's Palmyra - the White House has made clear
   President Barack Obama has no plans to send U.S. troops into the region
   to 're-invade Iraq or invade Syria.' VOA correspondent Aru Pande has
