Ukraine: Three More Soldiers Killed in Fighting with Pro-Russian Separatists by VOA News Ukraine says three of its soldiers were killed and 17 wounded in new fighting with pro-Russian separatists in eastern Ukraine as a cease-fire in the region continues to unravel. Ukrainian military spokesman Andriy Lysenko said two of the deaths occurred from a mortar attack near the town of Svitlodarsk, northeast of the rebel stronghold of Donetsk. Meanwhile, U.S. assistant secretary for European and Eurasian affairs Victoria Nuland is in Moscow for meetings with Russian officials in a new bid to try to implement the truce. She also is meeting with non-government Russian groups during a two-day visit. Earlier, after meeting with Ukrainian officials in Kyiv, Nuland said the fighting in eastern Ukraine has diminished. But she said, "None of us should be satisfied with the results, so that is why we want to push harder on all these things and see what we can achieve in the coming days and weeks." Eighty six Ukrainian soldiers have been killed in fighting with the rebels since the cease-fire was announced in February. __________________________________________________________________ [1]http://www.voanews.com/content/ukraine-pro-russian-separatists/27751 23.html References 1. http://www.voanews.com/content/ukraine-pro-russian-separatists/2775123.html
