                 Myanmar Police Clash With Protesting Students

   Riot police in Myanmar on Tuesday attacked student protesters, ending
   their attempt -- at least for now -- to march to Yangon to protest
   education legislation. University students have been conducting
   on-and-off protests for months against an education bill  they say
   stifles academic freedom. The students also want the government to
   spend more money on education and allow them to have unions for
   students and faculty.
