Bomb Threat Evacuates White House Briefing Room by Cindy Saine, Aru Pande Agents from the United States Secret Service cleared reporters from the White House briefing room Tuesday afternoon following a bomb threat. The room was evacuated during a briefing with White House spokesman Josh Earnest. A Secret Service sniffer dog was deployed to check out the area. A short time later, reporters returned to the area where the briefing resumed. Earlier, a hearing of the Transportation Security Agency (TSA) on Capitol Hill was evacuated over a bomb threat. Capitol police cleared several floors at the Dirksen Senate office building but found no hazardous materials.
