              World Powers Broadening Efforts to Fight Extremists

   The U.S. has announced a series of regional summits and other events to
   galvanize international efforts to combat violent extremism. Secretary
   of State John Kerry discussed the issue Thursday as delegates from more
   than 60 countries gathered in Washington seeking ways to counter
   efforts by extremists to recruit and radicalize. VOA State Department
   correspondent Pam Dockins has the story.
