West Bank Stabbing Wounds 2 Israelis by VOA News Israeli officials say a Palestinian man stabbed two Israeli security guards in the West Bank town of Ariel early Thursday. They say the Palestinian man was shot during the attack. The wounded Israelis, a man and a woman, are being treated at a hospital. Shortly afterward another Palestinian man tried to attack Israeli forces near Hebron with a screwdriver. He was shot and killed. Wednesday Israeli police shot and killed two Palestinians who stabbed Israeli pedestrians outside Jerusalem's Old City. Police say three Israelis were seriously injured in the incident Wednesday, including one who later died from his wounds and another who died from a wound apparently from police gunfire aimed at subduing the attackers. The attack occurred outside Jaffa Gate, a popular spot for tourists visiting Jerusalem's Old City. Police identified the two attackers as Palestinians in their early 20s from the West Bank. Also Wednesday, Israel's Shin Bet intelligence agency said it arrested 25 Palestinians linked to the terrorist group Hamas for planning bombings and suicide attacks against Israelis. The agency said it uncovered a "wide terrorist infrastructure" of Hamas in the West Bank, directed from the Gaza Strip. Officials said the militants operated an explosives laboratory in Abu Dis in the West Bank and planned to carry out attacks in Israel. A campaign of stabbings, shootings and car-rammings by Palestinians in recent months has killed 19 Israelis and a U.S. citizen. Israeli forces or armed civilians have killed at least 118 Palestinians, most of whom authorities have described as assailants. Others died in clashes with Israeli security forces. __________________________________________________________________ [1]http://www.voanews.com/content/west-bank-stabbing/3116778.html References 1. http://www.voanews.com/content/west-bank-stabbing/3116778.html
