                Scotland Votes to Remain Part of United Kingdom

   Scotland spurned independence in a historic referendum on Thursday,
   saving a union dating back over 300 years but ushering in a period of
   intense bargaining over Britain's Prime Minister David Cameron's
   pre-vote pledges to give Scots more say over their own affairs.
