Authorities say several other peacekeepers were wounded in the blast Thursday in the north of Aguelhok, near the embattled city of Kidal. There was no immediate claim of responsibility. Four U.N. peacekeepers were killed by a mine blast earlier this month in the same region. The latest attack follows the resumption of talks in Algiers between the Mali government and rebel groups, aimed at clinching a lasting peace agreement in the deeply divided nation. Riven by ethnic rivalries, a Tuareg rebellion and an Islamist insurgency in its vast desert north, Mali has struggled for stability and peace since a military coup in 2012. __________________________________________________________________ [1]http://www.voanews.com/content/five-un-peacekeepers-killed-in-mali-/ 2455299.html References 1. http://www.voanews.com/content/five-un-peacekeepers-killed-in-mali-/2455299.html
