                 Suicide Bomber Targets Foreign Convoy in Kabul

   A Taliban suicide bomber rammed an explosive-filled car into a foreign
   convoy in the Afghan capital, Kabul, triggering a large blast that
   rattled buildings and left several people injured.

   The explosion occurred Tuesday morning near the main entrance of the
   U.S. embassy.

   Police officials say the bomber targeted a foreign forces convoy but
   did not give information as to the nationalities involved.

   The Taliban quickly claimed responsibility for the attack, saying it
   targeted the convoy as it traveled on the main road toward the Kabul
   airport.
