Search for Missing Malaysian Plane Resumes by VOA News The search for missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 has resumed. The hunt began anew Monday in the southern Indian Ocean, seven months after the jet vanished during a flight from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing with 239 people on board. Massive searches from the air and on the sea, as well as an undersea probe failed to locate any sign of the aircraft. Experts analyzed satellite transmissions from the plane to pinpoint the best area to conduct the new search. Crews have taken months to map the seabed of the new search zone, about 1,800 kilometers west of Australia. The crews of the search ships will use sonar, video cameras and jet fuel sensors to scour the seabed for the Boeing 777. Australia is spearheading the search. Australian officials are "cautiously optimistic" that the plane will be located in the refined search zone. __________________________________________________________________ [1]http://www.voanews.com/content/search-for-missing-malaysian-plane-re sumes/2473720.html References 1. http://www.voanews.com/content/search-for-missing-malaysian-plane-resumes/2473720.html
