Supreme Court Justice Undergoes Heart Procedure by VOA News Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, 81, had a heart procedure on Wednesday after experiencing discomfort during routine exercise, according to a [1]court statement. Ginsburg was reported to be resting comfortably at Medstar Washington Hospital Center after having a stent placed in her right coronary artery. She was taken to the hospital Tuesday night and the stent was implanted to clear some coronary blockage. She is expected to be released within the next two days, the statement said. Ginsburg, who was appointed by former president Bill Clinton in 1993, is the oldest member of the court and has survived cancer diagnoses in 1999 and 2009.
