               US Senators Discuss Funding for Anti-Ebola Efforts

   Members of the U.S. Senate Appropriations Committee have questioned the
   country's top health officials on what needs to be done to protect
   Americans from a virus that has killed more than 5,000 people in West
   Africa and threatens to spread to other continents. President Barack
   Obama has asked Congress for an additional $6 billion to fight Ebola at
   its source. Administration officials and members of non-governmental
   groups also weighed in on the discussion at the full committee hearing
   Wednesday.
