 On Berlin Wall Anniversary, East-West Divisions Highlight Germany's Patchwork
                                    Economy

   Twenty-five years after the fall of the Berlin Wall, unified Germany is
   often praised for its transformation into the richest country in
   Europe. But the economy is not without problems. In what was West
   Germany, questions are being asked over the continuing subsidies paid
   to the former East. And renewed tensions with the old Cold War
   adversary -- Russia -- threaten German exports and economic growth.
