Lambert, Bryan Take Home Country Music's Prizes by VOA News U.S. Country singer Miranda Lambert won four trophies at the annual Country Music Association Awards in Nashville, Tennessee Wednesday night, including the female vocalist of the year. ''The prize was the fifth straight for Lambert, who was nominated in nine categories. She also won the the album of the year award for her collection of songs "Platinum," single of the year, and musical event of the year for her duet with Australian-born country star Keith Urban on the song "We Were Us." Lambert's husband, singer Blake Shelton, took home the trophy for best male vocalist of the year. Meanwhile, popular singer Luke Bryan achieved a career milestone by winning his first-ever entertainer of the year award.
