                     Ex-Boxing Champ Elected Mayor of Kyiv

   Former world heavyweight boxing champion-turned-politician Vitaly
   Klitschko likely will be the next mayor of the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv.
   Klitschko on Sunday stood next to apparent president elect Petro
   Poroshenko, who thanked the ex-champ for backing out of the
   presidential race in March to throw his support behind Poroshenko.
   Klitschko already is a member of Ukraine's parliament. He thanked
   voters for enduring long lines, bad weather and threats to cast their
   ballot.
   He called for a fight against corruption, saying all the reforms and
   changes in Ukraine will start with Kyiv.
