                 Pakistani PM to Attend Indian PM Inauguration

   A Pakistani official says Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will attend the
   inauguration ceremony of India's prime minister-designate Narendra
   Modi.
   A statement from Sharif's office on Saturday said New Delhi had invited
   the prime minister this week to attend the ceremony.
   Pakistan and neighboring India have long been bitter enemies, having
   fought three wars since their independence from Britain in 1947.
   Relations between the two nuclear-armed rivals have been particularly
   tense since attacks on Mumbai in 2008 were blamed on Pakistan-based
   militants.
