           CN- Volatility, Rail Safety of Bakken Crude Oil Concern in

   North Dakota ranks as the second largest oil producing state in the
   country, just behind Texas. Companies extract roughly one million
   barrels of crude oil per day from the Bakken formation situated in the
   northern United States. As VOA's Kane Farabaugh reports, much of that
   oil leaves the region by rail, but several accidents have raised
   concerns about the transportation method, and the oil itself
