Dozens Feared Trapped by Landslide in India by VOA News More than 150 people are feared trapped after a landslide swept through a village in western India. Officials in Maharashtra state said the mudslide buried at least 40 homes in a village near Pune early Wednesday. Rescue workers were on their way to the area but were hampered by poor roads and continuing rains. Heavy rain has continued to lash the region over the past four days. The Pune district about is 151 kilometers southeast of Mumbai, India's commercial capital.
