                Iran, World Powers Agree to Extend Nuclear Talks

   Diplomats say Iran and six world powers have agreed to extend their
   deadline for four months to strike a nuclear deal with Tehran.

   The diplomats say the parties gave themselves until November 24 to
   reach a deal. An interim deal for Iran to curb its uranium enrichment
   in exchange for an easing of sanctions was set to expire on Sunday,
   July 20.

   Iran has been negotiating since February with officials from the U.S.,
   Britain, France, Russia, China and Germany on a long-term nuclear deal.
   The biggest obstacle has been Iran's right to enrich uranium, a process
   that can produce fuel for nuclear reactors, but also the core of a
   nuclear bomb.

   The U.S. and its Western allies suspect Iran is trying to build a
   nuclear weapon. Iran insists its atomic program is strictly for
   peaceful purposes.
