                      10 Dead in Vietnam Helicopter Crash

   Vietnamese officials say at least 10 people are dead after a military
   helicopter on a routine training mission crashed on the outskirts of
   the capital, Hanoi.

   The exact death toll has not been confirmed.

   Officials say the Russian MI-171 helicopter went down early Monday
   morning just west of the city.

   Local officials did not say whether there were any survivors or if any
   civilians were injured or killed.

   Vietnamese officials have not said what may have caused the crash.
