Clashes Spread After Palestinian Boy's Funeral by VOA News Clashes between Israeli police and Palestinian protesters continued Saturday in East Jerusalem and other towns following the funeral of a Palestinian teenager killed in a suspected revenge attack. Palestinian demonstrators threw rocks at Israeli police and were met with tear gas and stun grenades Saturday in the fourth day of angry protests. Israeli police increased security in anticipation of more demonstrations following the funeral of Mohammed Abu Khudair. Friends and family buried the teen Friday in a cemetery in the Arab neighborhood of Shuafat. Khudair's body was found in a Jerusalem forest Wednesday, about an hour after he was forced into a car by unknown kidnappers. His father says the boy's body was burned beyond recognition. Authorities say they are investigating whether the killing was in response to the kidnapping and murder of three Israeli teens buried in the week week. Israeli officials blame Hamas for the three teens' murders. Hamas denies killing the three Israeli teens, but some of its leaders have said such an action would be a justified response to what they view as Israeli injustices. Also Friday, Palestinian militants fired rockets and mortars from the Gaza Strip border, while Israel carried out several airstrikes in Gaza. There were no immediate reports of causalities. __________________________________________________________________ [1]http://www.voanews.com/content/clases-spread-after-palestinian-boys- funeral/1951406.html References 1. http://www.voanews.com/content/clases-spread-after-palestinian-boys-funeral/1951406.html
