                      Explosion Kills 4 in Southern Beirut

   An explosion has hit a Shi`ite-dominated area of Lebanon`s capital,
   killing at least four people and wounding 20 others.
   The blast Tuesday happened in southern Beirut, a stronghold of the
   militant group Hezbollah.
   The explosion site is in the same area where a car bomb killed five
   people earlier this month.
   Hezbollah fighters have openly battled in neighboring Syria since last
   year, helping President Bashar al-Assad`s forces against rebels trying
   to oust him from power.
   Tensions have increased between Lebanon`s Shi`ite and Sunni communities
   as armed clashes and bombings spread into Lebanon, including multiple
   attacks in Beirut.
