Kerry: Mideast Peace Talks May Miss April 29 Deadline U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry has acknowledged that Israel and the Palestinians may miss an April 29 deadline for a peace deal. Kerry told reporters in Washington Wednesday that nobody will worry if there is another nine months, or whatever it is going to be. He declined to give any details on where the talks stand right now. But he said he laughs at those who say the process is going nowhere. When the talks between Israeli and the Palestinians resumed in July after a three-year lull, Kerry said he hoped there would be an agreement by the end of April. But both sides have yet to reach a framework on such major sensitive issues as the status of Jerusalem in a future Palestinian state, and the right of Palestinian refugees to return to their former homes. __________________________________________________________________ [1]http://www.voanews.com/content/kerry-mideast-peace-talks-may-miss-ap ril-29-deadline/1860128.html References 1. http://www.voanews.com/content/kerry-mideast-peace-talks-may-miss-april-29-deadline/1860128.html
