Croatians Vote in Presidential Election by VOA News Voting is under way in Croatia's presidential election, with incumbent Social Democrat Ivo Josipovic tipped to win another five-year term. Croatia's 3.8 million eligible voters on Sunday are being asked to pick from four candidates vying for the largely ceremonial post. None of the candidates is expected to win more than 50 percent outright, setting up a runoff. Mr. Josipovic is expected to face conservative opposition candidate Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic in the runoff on January 11. The vote is seen as a test for the center-left government, which has faced criticism for its failure to revive the economy more than one year after Croatia joined the European Union. Croatia has one of the weakest economies in the bloc. __________________________________________________________________ [1]http://www.voanews.com/content/croatian-vote-in-presidential-electio n/2576401.html References 1. http://www.voanews.com/content/croatian-vote-in-presidential-election/2576401.html
