           New York Mayor Urges Protest Halt in Wake of Police Deaths

   New York Mayor Bill de Blasio is urging that protests over the killings
   of unarmed African Americans by police be suspended while the city
   mourns two New York officers recently shot dead by a gunman. VOA's
