Maoist Rebels Kill 13 Indian Paramilitary Troops by VOA News Maoist rebels have killed 13 paramilitary troops in an ambush deep in a forest in a remote part of central India. Authorities said the attack Monday came as the troops were searching for the insurgents in a stronghold of theirs in the Sukma district. Security officials say the rebels present India's biggest internal security threat. The rebels, inspired by the late Chinese revolutionary leader Mao Zedong, have been staging attacks in central and eastern India for more than three decades. The Maoists are demanding a bigger share of wealth from the region's natural resources and more jobs for the region's farmers and the poor. __________________________________________________________________ [1]http://www.voanews.com/content/maoist-rebels-kill-thirteen-indian-pa ramilitary-troops/2541207.html References 1. http://www.voanews.com/content/maoist-rebels-kill-thirteen-indian-paramilitary-troops/2541207.html
