              MSF: 31 Injured in Central African Republic Fighting

   A medical aid group says at least 31 people were injured Wednesday in
   the Central African Republic when a local militia clashed with
   international peacekeepers.

   Doctors Without Borders says the fighting flared in the PK5
   neighborhood of Bangui, home to about 2,200 Muslims gathered there to
   avoid sectarian violence.

   Reuters news agency says the clash erupted after residents accused the
   peacekeepers of shooting and killing a man on Tuesday.

   Doctors Without Borders says all of the people it treated at Bangui's
   General Hospital displayed gunshot wounds.

   The C.A.R. has endured chronic sectarian violence since the mainly
   Muslim Seleka rebel coalition toppled the government in March 2013.

   Attacks by the largely Christian anti-Balaka militia have prompted
   hundreds of thousands of Muslims to flee Bangui and other cities, with
   many crossing into Cameroon and Chad.

   French and African Union forces have been largely unable to stop the
   unrest.
