                      Militants Attack Pakistani Airbases

   Officials in southwestern Pakistan say militants have attacked two
   airbases, sparking a firefight with security forces that killed at
   least eight insurgents.

   Authorities say the insurgents attacked the Samungli and Khalid
   airbases in Quetta early Friday.

   Seven security forces personnel were wounded in the violence.
   Authorities say at least two suspected militants have been detained.

   There has been no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack.
