                 Former White House Press Secretary Brady Dies

   James Brady, former White House press secretary under President Ronald
   Reagan has died according to a spokeswoman. He was 73.
   Brady was critically wounded during an assassination attempt on
   President Reagan outside the Washington Hilton hotel on March 30, 1981.

   He became a leading gun control crusader after the 1981 shooting.

   Jennifer Fuson, deputy director of media relations for the Brady
   Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence, said staff members  were still
   waiting to learn details of his death.
