Christians Mark Good Friday Christians around the world on Friday mark the crucifixion of Jesus. The day is known as Good Friday. Christians in the Holy Land commemorate the crucifixion in prayers and processions through Jerusalem`s Old City. Christian pilgrims in Jerusalem walked along the route believed to be taken by Jesus on the way to his crucifixion. They carried wooden crosses and followed the 14 stations of the cross, ending at the ancient Church of the Holy Sepulcher. Tradition says the church was built on the site where Jesus was crucified, buried and resurrected. On Sunday, Christians celebrate Easter, the day believers say Jesus resurrected from the dead. __________________________________________________________________ [1]http://www.voanews.com/content/christians-mark-good-friday/1896034.h tml References 1. http://www.voanews.com/content/christians-mark-good-friday/1896034.html
