                      US Drone Strike Kills 3 in Pakistan

   Officials in Pakistan say a U.S. drone strike has killed three people
   in the country`s tribal region near the Afghan border.
   Security officials say the incident happened Monday in the Boya area of
   North Waziristan, a known stronghold of Taliban and al-Qaida linked
   militants.
   The U.S. drone strikes are deeply unpopular in Pakistan. Pakistan has
   repeatedly criticized drone attacks as illegal and a violation of its
   sovereignty, but U.S. officials say the strikes are an important tool
   in defeating the insurgents.
   The U.S. has decreased its use of the drone strikes in recent months.
