Yemen Attacks Leave at Least 30 Dead Yemeni officials say at least 30 people are dead after two simultaneous attacks in the southern province of Shabwa. Military officials said Friday that gunmen attacked members of a military headquarters in Maifaa, killing at least eight people. And an attack on a nearby army post left at least 20 people dead. Officials believe al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula may be responsible for the attacks.
