   It's been 12 years since the United States and its allies launched the
   so-called "Global War on Terror" following the terrorist attacks of
   [1]Sept. 11, 2001.

   Despite this multinational effort to defeat al-Qaida and other militant
   groups, the threat of terrorism persists. We turned to people from
   around the world to ask what they think is the best way to prevent
   terrorism.
